Methamphetamine, also known as meth, is a stimulant drug that can cause compulsive drug-seeking behavior and lead to addiction. Methamphetamine use can cause a number of physical and psychological symptoms, including skin sores and severe dental problems, which are sometimes referred to as “meth mouth.” These sores may appear on the face and are caused by picking at the skin, as well as decreased blood flow to the affected area due to blood vessels constricting from the effects of the drug.
